And here's a time lapse video of the coloring process in PhotoShop CS4

A noiseless, patient spider,
I mark'd, where, on a little promontory, it stood, isolated;
Mark'd how, to explore the vacant, vast surrounding,
It launch'd forth filament, filament, filament, out of itself;
Ever unreeling them--ever tirelessly speeding them.
And you, O my Soul, where you stand,
Surrounded, surrounded, in measureless oceans of space,
Ceaselessly musing, venturing, throwing,--seeking the spheres, to connect them;
Till the bridge you will need, be form'd--till the ductile anchor hold;
Till the gossamer thread you fling, catch somewhere, O my Soul.-- Walt Whitman

The Sheriff, he’s lean, mean, keen and did I mention, really lean?
A Pseudo Steam-punk comic character I drew the other day. He was just one of several characters I have sketched out while working on the cover #1 for Janos.
He is trying to be suave, but just looks goofy. I see him as sort of an inspector gadget type character, or more precisely Inspector Clouseau from the Pink Panther. He thinks he is fully in control, and very much the debonair individual, however he is really a bumbling fool that is just incredibly lucky.
Can you imagine him facing off with a professional gunslinger? Maybe one outfitted with a Tesla Beam weapon, in a little tumbleweed town.
Does he inspire confidence in your sense of security? Not bloody likely!
So there you go. The Sheriff is just another sketch that I created during a short break from working on bigger projects, no greater goal.
