A piece I am working on for a contest. I wanted to create somthing envoked by the likes of Rocketeer. This is the result. She used to have a jet pack but I ditched it as it was messing the comp up.
In other not Deadpool news:

What the FUCK
this must be creepy from a distance
ME: LOLO
I seriously what that shirt for that creepy factor
KASEY: that is the most bizarre christian t-shirt ever
Someone, buy me that tshirt. I'll take a medium.
I'd be more upset, but it's going to get taken care of, and oh my god why so cute you two why so freaking cute aaaa.
EDIT: Also things I've learned this weekend, apropos of nothing: the way to get a usually fairly reticent boyband to go kind of nuts is to apparently remove their baby member and place him in a situation of DANGER!!!! vagina. It provokes stalking behavior, impromptu screaming, unasked for declarations of "he's pretty I'd go out with him" and is guaranteed to send at least one member into a crazed spiral of "I AM MOMMY HERE, DO WHAT MOMMY SAYS."*
*I'm talking about a specific band in all cases except this last one, because this "I am Mommy do as I say" shit happens in every single band I follow EXCEPT THE FEMALE ONE. There's something both charming and hilarious about well muscled twenty something dudes referring to themselves as "Mama."
Anyhow. Here's where I'm up to with Wizard Squared:
My first drafts always come in short. I feel like I've hit the watershed half way mark in the narrative, but the back end is going to be a bit sploogey just to get it done. And then I can smack it into shape on the rewrite.
What I'm finding, writing in a series as opposed to a self-contained narrative, is that I can make all these fun references to passing events in the previous two books. Like easter eggs! Wheee! *g*
Another chapter tomorrow, I hope. Fingers crossed!
Speaking as an Episcopalian, Whoo hoo!!
Ordination to any ministry in the Episcopal church is now formally open to anyone regardless of sexual orientation!!

Which is hardly the most celebratory write-up of the news--most of the blogs that are pro-justice and equality are going nuts about it. Both the House of Deputies and the House of Bishops passed it 2-1 in favor. (Google on the resolution name, D025, to see what I mean.)

Tweaked Clone Wars Gambit: Stealth today a bit, I hope for the very last time! And after dinner I need to finish the next chapter of Wizard Squared.
I wish I could show you the finished illustration for the Oz version sequel to Prodigal Mage. Greg Bridges has totally outdone himself. It is truly stupendous artwork. Squeeeee!
And if you're a Facebook fan and reading this, I owe you all a note and will write it on my Wall asap.
Back to other stuff now. What a higgledy piggledy day it's been!

Notes: This vid took me an absolutely insane amount of time to complete; about 2 MONTHS! I'm very happy to be finished. I think I'm pretty happy with most of it, except in a few places the editing makes me cringe.
I've also realized that by graduating, I've also lost my best excuse for failing at prolificness. Given that I never had a problem churning out relatively polished original stories for class over the past several years, it has occured to me that perhaps this problem has more to do with me functioning better under a deadline than me being physically incapable of finishing things. Thus, I am giving myself one. From now on, I'll do my best to finish at least one project per month, whether it be a fic, a chapter, or hell, even a super awesome drabble. How hard can that possibly be, right?

70 year-old Buddhist monk Hua Chi has been praying in the same spot at his temple in Tongren, China for over 20 years. His footprints, which are up to 1.2 inches deep in some areas, are the result of performing his prayers up to 3000 times a day. Now that he is 70, he says that he has greatly reduced his quantity of prayers to 1,000 times each day.
